I too know the specific pain that is living with a man who doesn't like your music. The good news for us, is that we live in a tiny housebus so its not considered rude to put on earphones to listen to what we want to. Actually, its compulsory or we would have been divorced by now.

That’s a great solution! I can’t imagine living in a housebus!

Some days its great and some days its claustrophobic. The lack of housework makes up for it though

Kristin- Your friends look like a ton of fun. It helps that music and REM is in the mix. Sounds like a lot of good afternoons and evenings. Hope you're doing well, Kristin!

This husband has all my hackles up. Who turns off someone else's music?!

I am sadly a very boring music person but my younger sister is super into music and introduces me to all sorts of new things. And she would probably totally agree that you can't be in relationship with someone with very different music taste! I don't think she ever dated someone who didn't share her music passion, even if they also liked other things.

I love those photos of you and your friends, they look like an amazing group!

Thank you! My friends are such an amazing group!

And yes, I will never again be in a relationship with someone I don’t align with in the music area. I do listen to a wider variety of music these days, but still…if we don’t have a large chunk in common, nope. Or if there is no tolerance, nope.

DEFINITELY nope on the no tolerance. But hooray for good friends!

My brother-in-law who lives next door to me has introduced me to black metal. Not a genre I can listen to a lot of but he's really given me an appreciation for it.
